The Champion's Carbon

The Vision F1 has been ridden to UCI World Cup wins, UCI Pump Track Redbull World Championships and USA BMX National Championships across more than 30 countries. Carbon that has actually proven itself on the gate.
From $1,995.95 16 Colorways Mini โ†’ Pro XXXXL Toray T1100-KS Carbon

When we launched the Vision F1 in 2021, it was the first BMX racing frame in the world built as a true monocoque carbon chassis. Five years later, it's still the frame that wins. World Cup wins. National titles. Olympic finals. Every continent. Real receipts, not marketing.

What the Vision F1 Is

The Vision F1 is a monocoque carbon fiber BMX race frame and fork โ€” engineered, cured, and finished as a single continuous carbon structure. No glued joints. No bonded plates. No assembled rear triangle. The entire chassis is one piece.

This matters because every glue joint, every bolted plate, and every weld in a traditional frame is a place where energy is lost in transmission. Pedal energy that goes into the frame instead of the wheel. Vibrations that fatigue you over a 32-second moto. The Vision F1 was built to send what you put in straight to the rear wheel โ€” nothing in between.

We took 18 months of testing to bring it to market. Every prototype was raced by our factory team before we shipped a single unit to a customer. When we finally launched in 2021, the Vision F1 won that year's USA BMX Golden Crank "Bike of the Year." It's been on a podium somewhere in the world every single weekend since.

The Quick Read Toray T1100-KS aerospace carbon. Monocoque construction. Threaded Euro BB. Disc + V-brake compatible. FLIP/CHIP rear dropouts. Built-in chain idler. Ten sizes from Mini to Pro XXXXL plus 24" Pro Cruiser. Sixteen colorways including Sparkle Pink, Captain America, Tuxedo, Tiffany Blue, and the Kye Whyte Matte Green.

The Material โ€” Toray T1100-KS

The Vision F1 frame is built from TORAYCA T1100-KS โ€” Toray's flagship aerospace-grade carbon fiber. The same material grade used in Formula 1 chassis monocoques, next-generation aerospace structures, and the highest-tier composite applications in the world. It's not commodity carbon. Toray controls supply tightly and grants direct access only to manufacturers with the engineering rigor to use it correctly.

The matched fork is TORAYCA T700S Nano Alloy Resin โ€” a different fiber-resin combination optimized for the front-end loads a BMX fork actually sees on a gate drop and a first jump. Same Toray supply, different layup. Both engineered to the same standard.

The fact that we have access to T1100-KS at all is a function of our 35-year manufacturing partnership with our cycling factory. The certs are on file. The supply is direct. Every Vision F1 frame uses material that competing BMX brands cannot get.

Want The Full Carbon Story? We published a plain-English deep-dive on every Toray fiber and resin we use in our race frames. T1100, M40X, M46X, Nano Alloy resin, full pre-preg, steel molds, the whole thing. Bill Ryan wrote it himself.

The Build โ€” One Piece, Zero Compromise

True monocoque construction means the entire frame is laid up, cured, and finished as a single continuous carbon structure. Here's why we did it that way:

  • No JointsEvery glue joint, weld, and bonded plate in a traditional frame is an energy sink and a fatigue point. Monocoque construction eliminates them entirely.
  • Captive Solid Carbon Rear Dropout with FLIP/CHIPAdjustable chainstay length via two FLIP/CHIPs (15mm and 10mm). Run a tight back end for tracks that suit it, run longer for stability. Both included with every Pro chassis.
  • Built-In Chain Idler / GuideIntegrated into the frame structure. No bolt-on idler arm rattling loose mid-moto. Cleaner, lighter, more reliable.
  • Threaded Euro Bottom BracketBottom bracket trends come and go. Threaded Euro is universal, serviceable in any bike shop on Earth, and not going away. We've built every Supercross frame on threaded Euro since 1989. We're not changing now.
  • Disc and V-Brake CompatibleRemovable V-brake mounts and a hydraulic / mechanical disc brake adapter kit ship with every Pro chassis. Run what your track and your setup demands.
  • Tested 3ร— the EN BMX Safety StandardWe don't ship a frame that hasn't been beaten on for thousands of cycles. Then we beat on it 3ร— harder than the international BMX safety standard requires.

Race Receipts

The Vision F1 has been ridden to results that matter. A short list:

  • 2021 USA BMX Golden Crank "Bike of the Year" โ€” the year of launch
  • UCI BMX Racing World Cup wins on multiple continents
  • USA BMX National Championships across multiple classes and seasons
  • Olympic finals appearances
  • Riders racing the Vision F1 in more than 30 countries

It's not theory. It's not a launch story. Every weekend of the year, somewhere on the planet, the Vision F1 is on a gate that matters.

Race-tested by our factory team before we shipped a single unit to a customer. We don't launch frames. We launch champions' frames.

Vision F1 vs Vision F1x

If you're choosing between the Vision F1 and our newer flagship โ€” the Vision F1x โ€” here's the honest read:

Vision F1 โ€” The Proven Champion Toray T1100-KS carbon. Five years of race wins on every continent. 2021 Golden Crank winner. World Cup proven. Olympic-finals proven. The frame that built our modern carbon era.
Vision F1x โ€” The Next Step Toray M40x and M46x prepreg combined with T1100-KS. World's lightest production BMX race frame. Same engineering pedigree, newer materials, premium price point. For the rider chasing the lightest, fastest piece of carbon BMX has ever produced.

Both are race-winning, championship-grade carbon. The F1 has the longer track record. The F1x has the newer technology. There is no wrong answer โ€” only the answer that fits your program, your budget, and your timing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Vision F1 still the current production model in 2026?
Yes. The Vision F1 is still in active production and remains a flagship Supercross carbon race frame. The Vision F1x launched in 2026 as our next-generation premium chassis using newer Toray fibers โ€” the F1 continues to be produced at scale alongside it.
What carbon fiber is the Vision F1 made of?
The frame is TORAYCA T1100-KS โ€” Toray's aerospace-grade carbon fiber. The matched fork is TORAYCA T700S Nano Alloy Resin. Both Toray fibers, both restricted-allocation, both used at the highest tier of composites manufacturing.
What is monocoque construction and why does it matter?
Monocoque means the entire frame is laid up, cured, and finished as a single continuous carbon structure โ€” no glue joints, no welds, no bonded plates. Energy from your pedal stroke transfers directly to the rear wheel without being absorbed by joints. Structural integrity is absolute. The Vision F1 was the first BMX race frame in the world built this way.
What sizes does the Vision F1 come in?
Mini, Junior, Expert, Expert XL, Pro, Pro Plus, Pro XL, Pro XXL, Pro XXXL, and Pro XXXXL. The Pro Cruiser 24" version is sold separately as the Vision F1 Pro 24" and uses the same materials and engineering.
What's the price?
From $1,995.95 USD for the Pro Chassis, which includes frame, matching fork, headset, FLIP/CHIPs, brake adapters, idler/guide, and all hardware needed to build the chassis. The Pro Cruiser 24" is from $2,195.95 USD.
Can I run the Vision F1 with disc brakes?
Yes. The Vision F1 is fully disc-brake compatible. Every Pro Chassis ships with both a hydraulic disc brake adapter kit and a mechanical disc brake adapter arm. It also runs V-brakes โ€” removable V-brake mounts are included.
What is the FLIP/CHIP system?
The Vision F1 has a captive solid carbon rear dropout with two interchangeable FLIP/CHIPs โ€” 15mm and 10mm โ€” that adjust the chainstay length to match track conditions and rider preference. Tighter chainstays for tracks that reward acceleration, longer for stability. Both included with every Pro chassis (Mini through Expert XL include the size matched to a 100mm axle setup).
Where is the Vision F1 made?
Engineered and tested in Apple Valley, California, at Supercross BMX HQ. Manufactured at our 35-year cycling-manufacturing partner, who controls direct supply of Toray's restricted carbon fibers.
How does the Vision F1 compare to other BMX racing carbon frames?
Most BMX "carbon" race frames are bonded constructions using mid-grade Toray T700 or similar. The Vision F1 is true monocoque using Toray's aerospace-grade T1100-KS โ€” a completely different tier of material and a completely different manufacturing approach. It's what allows the F1 to ship lighter, stiffer, and more durable than bonded competitors. Every Toray fiber name is verifiable.
Is the Vision F1 USA BMX and UCI legal?
Yes. The Vision F1 is fully compliant with USA BMX and UCI competition specifications. It's the chassis our factory team races at USA BMX nationals, UCI World Cup rounds, and international invitationals.

What materials is the product made of?

Utilizing World Championship-winning geometry of past Supercross frames, the VISION F1 revolutionizes the platform. Unlike its predecessors, the VISION F1 utilizes monocoque construction, also known as one-piece construction. The frame and fork are each constructed of a uniform piece of high-modulus carbon fiber. No joints, no welds, no bonding areas! This construction method is the most efficient and premium way of producing carbon fiber components. We did this while retaining the tried and trued carbon pre-preg material, TORAYCA T1100-KS (frame) and T700S Nano Alloy Resin (Forks). TORAYCA T1100-KS allows us to reduce the frameโ€™s weight another 6% while simultaneously increasing stiffness and power transfer. The efficiency of monocoque construction paired with T1100-KS allowed us to reduce material in less stressed regions and apply it to areas of extreme power transfer. The VISION F1 launches like no other! The Chart depicted above is a product of TORAYCA's in-house testing. T1100-KS is used on fighter jets and Formula 1 cars, and now you get to ride it! The VISION F1 is the fastest platform in BMX Racing, retaining every bit of that confidence-inducing feel of a Supercross BMX frame.
