Fall Nationals 2026: Sequoia Gomolicke Triples, Justin Perkins Wins Futures at Black Mountain

Three days of racing at Black Mountain BMX in Phoenix, October 16 to 18, and the Supercross BMX Factory Team came home with a triple, a Futures Men win, two cruiser wins and a Vet Pro back in the main.

Sequoia Gomolicke: 1-1-1

Sequoia won 14 Girls Expert on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Three gates, three mains, three wins. She has been the most consistent amateur on the team all season and Black Mountain was more of the same.

Justin Perkins wins Futures Men

Justin opened with 6th in a 34-rider 17-20 Expert class on Friday, then moved into Futures Men for the weekend and won it on Saturday against 24 riders. Sunday he was second. Two podiums in two days in the class USA BMX built to find its next pros.

Gaige Gomolicke, two seconds and a hard Sunday

Gaige was second in 17-20 Expert on Friday and second in Futures Men on Saturday, both times in deep classes. Sunday ended early in a crash. He walked away, and he will be back at the gate.

Keegan Skinner, better every day

Keegan went 8th, 4th and 2nd in 15 Expert across the three days. A bike problem on Friday turned into a second-place main on Sunday once it was sorted. Hold that thought, because the following weekend in Florida he kept climbing.

Corey Reid, back in the Vet Pro main

Black Mountain was Corey's first race back from injury. He made the Vet Pro main on Saturday and Sunday and finished 5th both days, and stayed on two wheels all weekend, which was the job. He still leads the Vet Pro points he built before the injury, and he is racing again.

Deegan Brown

Deegan was 4th in Men Under 23 on Friday. Sunday he made the Men Pro main in a 19-rider field and was running second until a tangle in turn two put him back to 8th. The rookie year keeps teaching him, and the speed is there.

George Goodall, 1-1 on the cruiser

George won 56-60 Cruiser on Friday and Saturday before a commitment took him home Sunday. Between races he does what he does every Monday at Chandler BMX, which is coach anyone who asks.

The whole team showed up

Bubba Harris was trackside all weekend coaching and cheering, and Lexis Colby came out to support the team while she is off the bike. That is what a factory team looks like when nobody is watching.

Full results are on USA BMX. Next up: the Gator Nationals in Oldsmar, Florida.
