Supercross BMX Heritage Collection · The Aluminum Revolution
The 24-inch AMX — aluminum for the cruiser class.
The cruiser class got its aluminum Supercross too. The AMX500 Pro Cruiser brought the high-ceramic 6013 six-bar formula to 24-inch wheels.
The AMX500 completed the aluminum line the way the SX500 completed the cro-mo line — a 24-inch race cruiser with the full Supercross rear-end treatment, running the SX500's geometry with the AMX updates: 1-1/8" threadless head tube, 1-1/4" seatmast, 26.8 mm post.
Same color program as the rest of the AMX family — red, blue, yellow, orange, green, black, brown, and in-house powdercoat one-offs — at $399 for the frame and fork set. Collectors have documented mid-90s survivors, and the alloy is still a talking point among the people who own them.
