Supercross Is the Only Brand With a Carbon Bar for Every Class

Tangent tops out at 6.5" rise. Box One tops out at 6.0" rise. If you're a Pro, Expert XL, or adult racer who needs a 7.5", 8", or 8.5" bar, neither of those brands has anything for you. The Supercross lineup covers Junior (4.5") through Pro (8.5") — every racing class, one brand, same Toray T-700S carbon construction throughout. Whether you're outfitting a 10-year-old or yourself, you don't need to go anywhere else.

Pro Bar: 31.8mm Oversized Clamp

Both the Tangent Vortex and Box One use a 22.2mm standard clamp across their entire line. The Supercross Carbon Pro Bar steps up to a 31.8mm oversized clamp — more contact area, more clamping force, better power transfer from your arms to the front end. It also maintains the standard 7/8" grip area so your grips and levers fit the same as any other bar. The oversized clamp is the right call for Pro-level race use, which is exactly why the Pro bar has it and the Junior and Expert don't need it.

Toray T-700S Monocoque — Junior Through Pro

All three Supercross carbon bars are built the same way: Monocoque Toray T-700S High Compaction carbon fiber. That means one continuous molded structure — no joints, no bonded sections, no weak points. Toray T-700S is a high-tensile fiber used in aerospace and motorsport applications. The Junior and Expert bars carry a 100 lb rider weight limit by design for their intended class. The Pro bar has no rider weight limit. Every bar goes through the same hand layup, wrapping, and molding process before it leaves the building.

The Sweep Difference — 6° vs 8°

The Tangent Vortex runs 8° back sweep. Supercross runs across Junior, Expert, and Pro. Box One is at 6° for smaller sizes and 7° at the 6" max. This comes down to rider preference and body position — more back sweep pulls your wrists in more, less keeps the arms straighter. Supercross's 6° geometry is what the brand has refined over 37 years of frame and component design. It works. If you've been riding 8° and want to try 6°, the difference is immediately noticeable in a sprint.
