Vicente Cesar Garcia Pinto is an Elite Men BMX racer from Atibaia, São Paulo, Brazil. Fifteen years on the bike, racing at the highest level of the sport — known for his competitiveness, his attention to detail, and his respect for gear, training, and team. He lives for the moments before the gate drops at the USA BMX Grands. Inspired by Sam Willoughby and Māris Štrombergs in BMX, and by athletes like Usain Bolt, Ken Roczen, and César Cielo outside of it, Vicente treats racing as a lifestyle, not a job.
Brazil has built one of the strongest BMX programs in South America. The competitive level coming out of São Paulo is real, and the riders coming out of there have proven it on the world stage. Vicente is a product of that scene, coached by Pearson Pauletto — one of the most experienced names in Brazilian BMX.
Riding for the Supercross BMX Factory Team, Vicente has the equipment to match his ambition. He's on the Vision F1 carbon frame in Pro XL Orange — the same flagship platform raced by the Supercross factory roster around the world. For Vicente, the chance to race at this level on this gear, with a team behind him, is what fifteen years of work was for.
Tell us about yourself.
Im Vicente Cesar Garcia Pinto, 23 years old from Atibaia, São Paulo, Brazil. I race Elite Men. Been on a BMX bike for 15 years and I'm coached by Pearson Pauletto.
What's your favorite thing about racing for Supercross?
The bikes, the kits, the gear — top-tier quality and the best setup I've ever had. And the off-track support and the team unity. There's nothing else like it.
Favorite track and favorite event?
Rock Hill is my favorite track. USA BMX Grands is my favorite event — the energy right before the gate drops there is something else. That moment is what fuels me to compete.
What's the best thing about BMX?
The lifestyle. The friends, the experiences, the travel, and that competitive thrill right before the gate drops.
What's the hardest thing about BMX?
The unpredictability of the sport, and injuries. And being based in Brazil, the financial side of international travel is real — flying to every USA BMX and UCI race from São Paulo is no joke.
What do you do outside of racing?
Drawing, spending time with family, trail riding, and solving Rubik's cubes. Rubik's cubes are also my guilty pleasure — I can't put them down.
Quick fire — food, drink, music, pet peeves?
Food: Spaghetti Bolognese. Drink: orange juice. Music: O Rappa. Pet peeves: slow gates and being hungry.
Heroes and role models?
Sam Willoughby and Māris Štrombergs in BMX. Outside of BMX I look up to Usain Bolt, Ken Roczen, and César Cielo.
