Justin Perkins is a 17-year-old BMX racer from Phoenix, Arizona, racing 17 Expert on the Supercross BMX Factory Team. He's been on a bike since he was 18 months old — balancing before most kids could walk. By age 3 he was lining up at his local track. Fourteen years of racing later, he's a Vision F1 factory rider in the heart of his amateur Expert years and looking up the ranks at what comes next.
Justin races on the largest carbon platform Supercross builds — the Vision F1 in Pro XXXL, Desert Storm paint. That's a frame built for tall riders moving fast through the rhythm sections, and Justin's at the age where every bit of leverage on the bike counts. The setup is dialed: 175mm Speedline carbon cranks, Slasher carbon rims, 8-inch Flatline bars, the whole package built for an Expert racer pushing into the elite ranks.
Phoenix is one of the strongest BMX scenes in the country — the same desert that produced Bubba Harris, Lexis Colby, and most of the riders who've shaped modern American BMX. Justin is part of the next generation coming out of it. The path from a 18-month-old with balance to a 17-year-old factory rider isn't unusual at Supercross. What sets Justin apart is the consistency he's built and the work he's put in to get this far.
