About Ken

Full Name – Ken Pliska
NickName – Fine Wine (an announcer started calling me that, claiming that I have gotten better with age)
Career # - 1
Class – 46-50 Cruiser

Height:  5' 8"
Favorite thing about Supercross: Too many to list...... It is a blast to ride cutting edge components. The team is more like a family than any team I have ever seen.
Years Riding: Started jumping garbage cans and picnic tables for money when I was 10, started racing at 12 and I'll be 48 in February :-)
Pets:
Pet Peeves: Anyone that doesn't respect their resources......
Home Town: Portland, Or
Favorite Track: Rockford
What do you do when you’re not riding: I try to ride every single day in between running my real estate business, rocking eBay and running our online sites.
Favorite Music: My playlist has everything from Wiz Khalifa to Classical to Guns N Roses
Favorite Food: Fresh sushi
Favorite Drink: Arnold Palmer
Guilty Pleasure: Haagen Dazs Vanilla Swiss Almond Ice Cream
Favorite Race: Reno on Labor Day Weekend
Best thing about BMX: I have raced drag cars, sports cars, MTBs, Road Bikes, etc. and nothing gives me a bigger rush than trying to beat the other seven guys in the gate to the first turn on a BMX Track.  The sport has constantly evolved and our current equipment helps push the envelope to yet another level.  We have always said that BMX is great because it teaches you how to win, lose, and try harder.  It is just as addicting now as it was when I was 13.
Worst thing about BMX: Parents that push their kids too hard, too fast and try to live through their kid's accomplishments.
Favorite Magazine: Pull
5 websites you visit everyday: VintageBMX.com, Facebook, Craigslist, Youtube, eBay.
Dream Car: 1966 427 4-speed Corvette Roadster
Dream Vacation: To take an entire year off and hit every single race of the national season in one really long road trip.
Riding Crew: Eric Filley, Eric Cummins, Joe Bartley, Holden Grossman, Chris Olney and all of the locals that hang with us.

Bonus Questions:

On an African Safari, which animal would you smuggle back and why: A meerkat and a warthog.  I would name them Timon and Pumbaa and teach them to talk and crack jokes just like in the Lion King.
Water Balloons or water guns: Water Guns, it's too tough to conceal water balloons :-)
If a wood chuck could chuck wood, how many days would is take?  3.2 days per cord
Random Facts about you: I have a titanium leg, I still do centuries and double centuries on my road bike, I love to ride any of my bikes and every time I sign up to race, I know the only person that can keep me from winning is myself.
