The EVO has been the choice of the Hardcore BMX racer for years, ABA #1 and NBL #1 Pro Girl Samantha Cools has been on one for the last 3 years, and 95% of our Pros and Amatuers prefer the ride of the 6061 T-6 Aluminum EVO to handle thier business on the track. AA Pro Jarrett Kolich rides them for class and cruiser, Randy Roberts, Jan and Henrik Baltzersen both rode them Renato Silva, and ABA Hall of Famers Turnell Henry and Darryl Young both ride generation 3 EVO's the list can go on and on. Since we built our first EVO ( Evolution ) frame in 1996 it has gone on to it's 6th generation now, hence the G6 designation. Each one getting, faster, lighter and stronger.
While alot of things remain the same on the new G6 EVO a few subtle changes help the EVO shed 6 ounces over the previous model and retain all of the strength and speed. A few new CNC pieces such as the new Internal and External Relieved Headtube adn BB shell and the new 3D dropout offers more weld area, better chain clearance and lighter weight. The trademark headtube gusset has been retained to keep the front end strong for those side trips the trails while still keeping the overall weight of the frame down. The EVO G6 Pro XL frame is weighing in at approx 3.45lbs.
Currently we are offering the EVO G6 in 9 sizes, 6 Pro Sizes and 3 Jr. Sizes. The Pro Sizes along with the Expert all take a 1 1/8" headset, 27.2 Seat Post and requirea 1 1/4" seatclamp, the Jr. Sizes take a 1" Headset, a 22.2 Seat Post and a 1" seatclamp.
The Pro Sizes are 20" Pro with a 20.5" Top Tube, 20" Pro XL with a 21.25" Top Tube, 20" Pro XXL with a 21.75" top tube , 24" Pro with a 21.5" Top Tube , 20" Expert XL with a 20" Top Tube and the 24" Expert with a 20.5" top tube. The 4 Jr. sizes are the 20" Jr. Pro with a 19" Top Tube, a 20" Mini with a 18" Top Tube, and a 20" Micro with a 17" Top Tube.
