Our first Signature Street/Dirt frame ever. The Supercross Disciple.
Ben Snowden came to us in a round about way, when Transworld BMX Magazine did our first test on our new Trail/Street frame the MX, Ben was the guy they had test it for them. Luckily for us he loved it and we got a great review a 9.5 out of 10 I believe. Well Ben liked it enough to ask us if he could keep it and use it as his regular bike, we were honored he liked it that mmuch and gladly said yes. Since that time Ben has had offers to ride for other bike companies and get paid, something we couldn't do. But Ben liked the bikes and we like Ben so we came up with an agreement for him to have his own signature frame. And thus "The Disciple" was born.
Now with most signature frames it is done because the rider wanted something special, well luckily for us Ben loved the geometry, but the one thing he wanted was for the frame to be affordable to the masses. So we decided that we had to have the frame built overseas to get the price down to the $199 MSRP that Ben wanted. Well it took us 2 years to get it right, but the "Disciple" is awesome. These frames are built from the much hyped seamless sanko japanese cro-moly that many of the current in vogue frames are built from and we go a step urther by using an air hardened heat treated version for the downtube.
These frames are available in one size only 21" top tube and in 2 colors only Gloss Black or Baby Blue. They feature full cro-mo 14mm droputs and have welded on Gyro tabs. To keep costs down they are straight guage tube as well instead of the Triple Butted of the MX or MXP but the weight is still only 5.1lbs.
The rest of the geometry is a 14.25 C/S , 74.5º headtube, and 11.75 BB.
