April 9, 2011 - The Danimal is in South Africa
A week ago, Dani headed to LAX to grab an International flight for her second trip to South Africa in the last year. Last time she was headed there for the UCI Worlds where she brought home a W2 plate on her Supercross ENVY, this time she is headed over to give the first round of the 2011 UCI BMX Supercross series a try.
Yesterday was time trials and despte the rainy conditions of the week the track builders made sure the track was prepped and Dani qualified comfortably int he top 32 to be in the big show today. Dani was one of the few Juniors in the pack and was making her pressence known. Unfortunately, Dani had a bit of bad luck today and kept crashing over the second turn, being taken off on a back board at one time, but she kept popping back up and would attack the track like a plate of cookies, she was on a mission. Unfortunately even though Dani was always near the front of the pack when she would go down, she didn't get a chance for the big show this time, but you wait, Dani will be there.
Thankfully Dani, e-mailed over and said she was OK, and that she has a branding of the ODI logo on her stomach after taking a bar hard to the gut. And that she was getting ready for and excited to be in Chula Vista next weekend.
