2012 Extension 20-II in Chrome!
Well when we said Chrome, Chrome Chrome, a few days ago, you had to know there was more comign after the first 2, and here is the project that started all fo the Chrome on the Frames, the 2012 Extension 20-II!. When we designed the Extension 20-II we were thinking of the old Torkers, the Old Haro Freestylers, the Redline 20-II's classic frames that made everyone get going on the freestyle craze.
Kinda wierd how it all started with Matty and Kris flipping through an old issue of Freestylin' in the shop and talking about how Rad Eddie Fiola was and a quick call to Eddie, and he was down for the project, we did a few prototypes last year and have it dialed in exactly the way we want it now, and part of the deal was that Eddie wanted a CHROME one. Eddie was most famous for his GT days, but started riding Parks on his Torker, and then on to the Haro Freestyler so he is no stranger to the dual top tubes and we just thought this was a great project for him. With our Dual Top Tubes we use an Oval Tube Brace for the Seatmast to pierce through like the old Redline RL-20II or the Original Hypers did.
With the Oval Top Tube Brace you get a stronger connection for the Dual Top Tubes and the Seatmast to eliminate any chance of Plate cracking.
And it matches up nicely with the huge Oval Down Tube to keep the Flow of the frame looking perfect.
The new 2012 Extension 20-II uses the same smaller cro-mo back side CNC'd dropouts as the Passion frames and it also has the Bullet Tipped Stays to keep the rear end of the frame looking clean.
And even though the Extension has an old school look and flare, the Geometry is full modern Freestyle mimicing the geometry of the Passion. So you can take this out to the trails, the skateparks and street ride it jsut like any modern freestyle frame.
The Extension is coming in 4 sizes, 20.5", 20.75", 21" and 21.25, and 5 stock colors. The 5 Stock colors are a Full Show Chrome, and 4 Two-Tone Combinations Neon Green/Chrome, White/Chrome, Fire Engine Red/Gloss Black and Matte Hot Pink/Matte Black.
